BUILDING ONE ANOTHER UP BY SERVING CHRIST
9am - Sunday School (small group bible studies)
New Hope has a great variety of age groups going through various books of the bible as well as following the curriculum from Lifeway. Our classes meet in the Family Life Center, the second floor of the sanctuary, and in the youth building.
We have a college class, a young couples class and several classes that have a mix of single and married folks in them.
No matter your age, if you are age 18 to 118, we have a class for you!
Noon - Men's Lunch (Pell City Steak House) Come join Bro. Jacque (assoc. pastor) and other men from the church as we eat, fellowship and pray together. This is a great hour of accountability and catching up on what's going on in the lives of the men represented. This is a great break in your Monday - come join us!
6:30pm - Small group bible studies.
Ladies' Bible Study (6:30pm) The topics for this class also vary during the year. This is a great time of learning and for building relationships with other women of the church. We meet in the Adult Choir Room.
Men's Bible Study (6:30pm) Imagine a group of men whose sole purpose for meeting is to go over the church prayer list and pray for those in need. Additionally, time spent studying God's Word under the direction of class leader Dean Scott. This is a great time of fellowship and accountability. We meet in the Family Life Center.
Opportunities for Ministry
At New Hope there are plenty of opportunities for ministry. We have many teams that are geared to support our church members and much need for volunteers to serve.
Here are a just a few:
- Food Bank Ministry
(packing boxes for distribution, handing out boxes of food to needy/praying with them.
- Building and Grounds
Are you savvy with tools? Good with a paint brush? Are you a carpenter /handy person? Do you enjoy cutting grass? Weedeating? Keeping our building and grounds beautiful requires the effort of many. It's not a glamorous position, but our volunteers in this area are much needed and appreciated!
- Church Kitchen
Do you enjoy cooking? Cleaning? Our kitchen committee could use your services when we meals during the week or after services.
- J.O.Y. Club (Just Older Youth Program)
This is a program for our seniors. Monthly, we have a luncheon and a speaker/entertainer. Volunteers are always needed to help with transportation for our seniors and veterans as well as set up and break down of tables and chairs.
