WHAT IS THE LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING?
The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is an initiative our church supports every year through the International Mission Board. 100% of funds donated supports missionary presence among the unreached across the world.
WHY DO WE GIVE TO THE
LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING?
At New Hope, we give to Lottie Moon because we want to be obedient to Christ in following The Great Commision.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
–Matthew 28:19-20 ESV, emphasis added
For the whole month of December, we will focus on supporting missionaries through this offering. There are two ways you can join us in supporting this effort:
PRAY
WEEK OF PRAYER, DECEMBER 10-17
Starting December 10, we will join the IMB in their Week of Prayer. You can follow along on their website, or on our Facebook page for daily prayer prompts! Join us in praying for the missionaries across the world who are faithfully sharing the gospel with the unreached.
GIVE
A MONTH LONG OPPORTUNITY
In this season of giving, we pray that you will consider giving to this gospel-centered effort. Our church’s 2023 goal is to give $6,000 to international missionaries through this offering. We ask that you pray and ask the Lord if and how you should take part in this effort, and be obedient in how He would lead you to do so! You can give online on our website (just select “Lottie Moon” in the drop-down menu) OR in person at one of our church services throughout the month of December.
